I wanted to post this the day of my Birthday, all the things I love, but I’ve been so busy…
Shoes
As I say, we can never have too many of them!
I graduated with a degree in Fashion Design, but as soon as I was done with school I had already scored a job with one of the largest shoe companies in New York, and now 16 years later I still can never get enough…I’ve been designing shoes ever since…
Dance
Ballet and theatre has been a passion ever since I was young. My parents used to take me at least once a month to an opera or to a ballet. I will never forget ‘‘
Fashion
The road I took. I always loved clothing and fashion…I used to love staring at my mom getting ready to go out, she has always been so coquet and meticulous about every detail. She also taught me how to sew and how to construct things at an early age and I became fascinated by it, I couldn’t believe how quickly I could create something. Very early I knew this was the road I wanted to take. I graduated with honors from Pratt Institute with a bachelor of fine arts in Fashion Design.
Friendship
This is something I cherish a great deal.
Having had always had my family so far away, my friends have become like a family to me. Not that I have a zillion of them, the ones I consider great are very few. Through life we meet many people, but those who stay are those that are consistent, those that are there when you most need them, those that no matter what will know you and not judge you. These are the kind of friends that surround me. I have shared a great many memories with them and with some there is great distance that separate us (like the ocean) but true friend are always there, no matter what, as they have for me. I love you all very dearly.

It’s a real passion and inspiration for me, every time I’m there I’m newly inspired. Let’s not forget the sun, the sun that we so often miss in
My children Chloé and Dylan
Chloé and Dylan, the reason I live for.
So different, and yet their both so alike…
So full of energy and so talkative that they could express themselves all day non stop.
They are so great, cool, nice, attentive, caring, and secretive at times!
My Chloé is a true romantic, sensitive and very poetic and she always needs me to hold her hand a little tighter. Dylan is more independent, so daring and at the same time a little boy.
I take care of them like little kings, preparing crepes or cakes after school, I do the homework with them, I take them to their activities, we have candle light dinners together when daddy is on trips, we read night stories in English, we cuddle…and I just eat them alive…My most important goal as a mother is to give them love. I try most of all to reassure them in everything they do, to help them not be afraid of life-something that is sometimes not easy, when I myself are sometimes afraid. I try to make them feel happy and well in their skin and to be the most autonome as possible. I try my best to give them the confidence they need to one day be able to fly on their own two wings. I’m a mother first but I’m also a friend someone who will always be there for them.’’
My Parents
Cultivated and intelligent, they implanted in me values that will forever stay in me, like the sense of respect, discipline and efforts well gained.
My father is an economist, who left home at a very early age to go work to support his family. Were he then spent many years of hard work, sacrifices, and times away from home. All of his efforts one day landed him a job at IBM were he then spent half his life.
My mother is now a decorator who was able to exceed her dream once we were all in college. Before she was too busy taking care after her father’s illness, and then her life as a wife and mother took over.
They’re life was mostly made of great efforts of work and sacrifice, to give they’re children everything they never had. Education was first on that list, everything evolved around our studies and our future. Then followed travelling and the introduction to other languages. The more cultivated you are the most opportunities you will have. Challenge and hard work will get you far. Respect and loyalty will gain you respect. Performance and results will make you an asset. They transferred on to me the want and the possibility to exceed in my own freedom. They implanted on to me values of life that I live by every day of my life.
My Pets
Nikita a Golden Retriever that we adopted when Chloé was 6 months, she has been a loyal friend ever since. A bit on the wild side, they said she would settle at around 3yrs, we’re still waiting for her to settle (she’s now 8 and half).
Loves her long walks and when Dylan plays ball with her.
Mimi Roger our chat goutier was given to me by some friends in Limoge, I couldn’t resist. I named her after Mimi Tom Cruise’s first wife, don’t ask me why! She is also a loyal cat, well she’s not so much a cat, she is more like a dog… She comes the minute you call her, eats the crumbs under the dinner table, and follows us when we go out for long walks…
My garden
This is my sanctuary, the place I meditate and come to terms with many things.
My garden is a place I look forward too.
My garden is a place I gather my thoughts and a moment to evacuate all the negative energy, that sometimes envelope us.
Precision and perfection with a touch of natural are my prime interest here…
Cooking
A passion that my mother has passed on to me, and that I hope one day will pass on to my children.
I dreamed many years of flying out to
My house
La Hacienda Azul.
We called it this because next to all the places we had been living in before this seemed like a real hacienda and Azul because all the shutters on the house are blue.
Our Hacienda Azul is a true country house built in the 18th century, two old barn houses connected by a new addition giving the house a U shape. It’s great because in the summer everything is opens out onto the garden.
I have kept it very child proof, no Lalique’s chez moi. It is a comfortable cosy house, more like a kid’s paradise. A candy and toy store all wrapped up in one, ‘‘Un Maison Poupe’’ as some friends have called it.
It’s our home sweet home.
My Man
My core. I am very lucky to have met the man of my life. I have the impression that our love makes me lighter, more exigent, happy and serious all at the same time and in total much more serene.
He has taught me so much.
And to sum it all up I am 39, and I have proof everyday that we can be more in love as we grow older.
My Family
My strength, my weakness, my memories, my family…
Each member of my family is special in their own special way.
First there is Pablo, my oldest brother who is Down syndrome and will be 42 this year. When I think doctors had told mom he would only live to be 6, that doctor is long buried.
He is the centre of us all, our light. A reflection of everything we are and have become.
He puts our life back into perspective and he keeps us all on our toes.
Then there is Gustavo. My special Gus, so sensitive yet so strong and such audacity would only come with who he is. He has achieved so much in his life, and has lived so many experiences that many don’t get to live in one life.
You never get board hearing all of his adventures, and his dreams.
Dario…The last one, my baby well his 31, but he will always be my little brother.
Such a talented man in so many ways. So expressive and well expressed.
From design, to architecture, to fliging planes to surfing to biking, racing to….
I could just go on forever his like those guys you send to an island alone and can build a mini
These are the best three uncles my kids could ever have.
Then there is all my extended family in
My place, my favourite place in the world. This island is so special to me, so magical. I can’t even begin to explain all the magical moments I have had here. Living in the south of
The day I die I have asked for my ashes to be thrown there on the ocean in front of ‘‘Es Vedra’’ to be exact…
I want my spirit to live along side all those other ones I’ve seen…
